(Delivery of my BMW at the BMW Welt in Munich, Germany with my dad)
Today is my 30th birthday. It has been a wild ride so far. I have accomplished almost all of my life goals, have travelled around the world, and have found my footing in a very rewarding career. If only I knew at 18, what I know now, I could have saved myself so much stress and heart ache. Heres to the next 30.

Congratulations! Your picture reminded me of when I was in Germany earlier this year. When I told the Germans I was with that some Americans dream of coming to Germany to pick up their brand new BMW/Porsche/etc. at the factory, they thought it was pretty funny. Something I'd like to do some day if I ever kick my aversion to buying a brand new car.

Congrats man, happy birthday. Definitely agree that if I knew at 18 what I know now, things would have been easier. But that's always the case :)

My grandparents' friends do that every single year. Buy a new BMW, spend a week in Germany with it, ship it home. Every. Single. Year.

If only I knew at 18, what I know now, I could have saved myself so much stress and heart ache.
I had a discussion with a friend who is a few years older than I (I'm 48), and we were musing over the possibility of going back to a younger age. We both agreed that being young was fun, but being wiser was better. Now, if I could go back to 24, knowing what I know at 48, that would be awesome.
Congratulations.

No way would I go back to 18 or even 24. My younger self was way too innocent, naive, nerdy, and hardworking. I get the benefits now but wouldn't last a week on my old diet/budget/lifestyle.

ha must be nice. Old people do the weirdest things with cars. My grandparents' neighbors would buy two identical Lexus ESs every other year. Exactly the same, both bought at the same time with two year intervals.
